Why sponsor SCAR Derby?

SCAR Derby is a skater-owned and operated womens' flat-track roller derby league.  We are a volunteer organization, including skater athletes, referees, and officials.  Our membership is composed of men and women from the Centre Region spanning a wide range of ages and lifestyles.  Together, we form a strong community of athleticism, healthy competition, and fellowship.

SCAR Derby has a travel A-level team, as well as two home teams who practice year-round and compete from February through December.  While our league is based in State College, PA, our season schedule can take us anywhere from New York to Maryland, Ohio to New Jersey.  We operate as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (EIN: 27-4448806) funded from league dues, ticket sales, skating clinic fees, sponsorship/ad sales and donatons -- both monetary and in kind.

Because so many give to us, we are eager to give back and feature a local charity at every home game and encourage our members to volunteer in the community.  Your support helps our league offset travel expenses, rink fees, and event production costs -- all of which influence our league's growth and positive impact on our community.

We are excited to host our annual Centre of the Universe tournament from February 27th through March 1st in 2026.  Our hospitality committee is seeking donations to purchase food and drinks to provide for teams and volunteers.  Sponsorship, and donations in the forms of gift cards, food items, water/sports drinks, are welcome and greatly appreciated.
