Advice for new skaters: don't give up on yourself because one day the skills you are struggling with will click. It can be frustrating, but just keep trying because one day it will come together and you'll be amazed at what you can do!

Derby Experience
Started skating with SCAR in April 2019
Name and number origin
I collect PEZ dispensers so I wanted to incorporate it somehow. As for how it evolved to Annie PEZition... well, derby positions of course! I'm #05 as a nod to my many family members who I grew up watching race stock cars numbered "05".
Athletic Background
I ski and I played baseball, softball, basketball, and threw discus and shotput for my HS track team. I also played rugby in college. Before derby, I had no skating experience whatsoever.
Outside of Derby
I am a huge fan of Penn State football and have had season tickets for ten years. I am also involved in Toastmasters, a public speaking and leadership organization. Aside from that, I'm always taking on and dropping new random hobbies as I gain and lose interest! PEZ Collecting, skiing, and a love for all things Harry Potter are consistent but it's entirely possible to find me doing a craft one day and building something the next. As the saying goes, Jack of all trades, master of none!
