State College Area Roller Derby is a skater-owned and operated flat-track derby league. We are a volunteer organization, including skater athletes, referees and officials. Our membership is comprised of individuals from the Centre Region spanning a wide range of ages and lifestyles. Together, we form a strong community of athleticism, healthy competition and fellowship. In 2015, SCAR Derby proudly became a member of Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) and now competes for a national ranking.

 

SCAR Derby has a travel team, and two home teams who practice year-round and compete from February through December.  While our league is based in State College we have members from across Central Pennsylvania. Our season schedule can take us anywhere from New York to Maryland, Ohio to New Jersey, and beyond.  We operate as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, funded by league dues, ticket sales, skating clinic fees, sponsorship/ ad sales and donations.  If you are interested in making a donation to support SCAR Derby, please email scarderby@gmail.com.
